Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the QuestLog app and related pages provided under the Maximus Cortex brand ("we," "us," or "our"). By using QuestLog, you agree to these Terms. For users participating in our pre-release campaign, please see our Pre-registration Reward Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app. By continuing to access or use QuestLog, you accept the current version of these Terms.

2. Accounts and Access

Some features require sign-in (for example, cloud sync and account-linked services). You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the security of your credentials and device access.

3. License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use QuestLog for lawful, personal productivity use. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
• Use the app to violate law, infringe rights, or interfere with service operation.
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.

4. User Content and Data Handling

You retain ownership of data you create in QuestLog (for example, quests, skill logs, and telemetry entries). By using the app, you grant us permission to store, process, sync, and display this data as needed to provide app functionality, including local storage and authenticated cloud sync.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Pro Access

• QuestLog Pro subscriptions are processed by your app store billing account (for example, Google Play or Apple).
• Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled through your app store account settings.
• Price, renewal timing, trials, refunds, and billing terms are controlled by your app store policies and applicable law.
• Restore purchases and entitlement checks are supported through integrated subscription services.

6. Privacy Policy

Your use of QuestLog is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we process it. By using the app, you acknowledge that processing described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Service Availability and Changes

QuestLog is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including integrations or subscription offerings, with or without notice where permitted by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of (or inability to use) QuestLog.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms are violated, misuse occurs, or legal/security risks require action.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Maximus Cortex operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
